Tales of the Cocktail Update
April 2, 2008
Tales of the Cocktail 2008 is slowly approaching and several exciting developments warrant your attention. Even if you aren’t attending, not that I would understand this foolish decision of yours, pay attention to a couple of notes for me.
First, a group of bloggers, myself included, have united to form an army of cocktail dorks at the new blog, Blogging Tales of the Cocktail: 2008. Aside from blogging about the events and ongoings of Tales, the group blog will offer posts written by each member on cocktails and convention topics. I have always thought that the idea of a joint-effort cocktail blog would make for a unique and diverse collection of entertaining information, and now it is going to happen. Please make sure to update your rss reader and bookmark this page. If you enjoy reading cocktail blogs at all, which I would hope is the case since you found your way here, you need to follow this new site.
Ok, next, I lied. If you aren’t going, this last part doesn’t concern you, but you really need to reconsider your plans for July 16-20th. Just look at everything that this year’s Tales has to offer. Tickets for the events just went on sale and the lineup is now availible. Need a place to stay? The host hotel, Hotel Monteleone, is offering discounted rates for Tales attendees. And then there’s the Big Easy herself - enough said.
Let me know if you’re planning on attending Tales of the Cocktail, especially if there are any Houstonians out there making the trip. I know this year’s event is going to be awesome; I hope you’re going to be a part of it.
